Last year, we achieved record numbers in total tournaments, players, coaches, associations, and teams! Our goal is to continue to make your participation with YBOA a fun, rewarding, safe, and quality experience. We are eager to to start an exciting 2008/2009 season!

Florida YBOA is extremely interested in your feedback and wants to ensure your experience is positive. Florida YBOA has instituted an online Tournament Quality Survey that will allow teams to instantly evaluate events from around the state and have a forum to provide suggestions and comments about their experience with YBOA.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS FILL ANNUAL YBOA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Many exciting changes and announcements followed the YBOA Annual Leadership Conference. Some of the highlights are included below:

YBOA ANNOUNCED BEGINNING 2008/2009:

* Division 1 & 2 teams will be allowed unlimited grade-exception players in ages 15U, 16U, 17U. All other Division 1 & 2 age divisions will continue with the 3 grade-exception limit.

* Division 3 level of competition has been added for teams with no grade exception players.

* All girls age divisions will return to the double-elimination format at the YBOA National Championships.

* All Division 1 & 2 teams will be seeded for the National Championship Tournaments from previous year's results.

* The YBOA National Championship tournament will be reduced in length.

YBOA HOLIDAY CLASSIC CONTINUES FALL TOURNAMENT SERIES

Don't miss the first ever Florida YBOA Fall Tournament Series. "I am excited to offer teams an opportunity to get a jump on the 2008/2009 season or use the events as a development opportunity for their team.", says Jack P. Love, Florida State Director. "These 3 events will play under a "roster relief" period in which teams may adjust their rosters prior to the qualifying season that begins on January 1, 2009.
